What are the operating costs of home Stairlifts? Well the good news is Stairlifts use little power based on a typical days operating costs! 7 full journeys a day the average cost would be 1.4p a day.
That equates to 5.00 a year now considering a light bulb costs 14 a year and “white goods” such as! Washing machines will cost 28 and a tumble dryer can cost up to 60 a year the running value of a Stair lift is minute indeed.
Many folks switch of their Stairlift when they are going on holiday. There really is no need! The Stairlift has been designed to be left permanently switched on 24/7 in reality switching your Chairlift off could present Problems on your return.
Stairlifts use chargeable mobility batteries these kinds of batteries can fail to recharge if their voltage sinks below a set level! If they’re totally drained then reasonable chance they won’t pick-up and recharge once the unit is switched back on.
So you arrive back home after your thought nights vacation to find you and your bags are stranded downstairs not a good ending to your holiday. The only option you have now is to call for a Stairlift engineer who must replace the flat batteries this situation is inconvenient and if you have got no maintenance service contract with a local company it may also be pricey.
